Akron, New York is my home.
I have made it my goal to become a pen & ink artist. Beginning in 2005 I started with pencil sketches and worked my way up to pen & ink drawings.
I also include scratchboard. Scratchboard is a black and white medium. The board itself is a cardboard or panel with a thin coating of fine white clay covered by a layer of India ink. The drawing surface starts completely black. One draws by scratching through the ink with a sharp tool, such as a scratchboard nib held in a pen holder. The more lines one draws the brighter the picture becomes. A very detailed drawing can be achieved with the fine lines that are produced with the tools.
It has been my desire to draw since early childhood. I remember receiving inspiration from a high school art teacher - the image of a pencil drawing the teacher had completed. The teacher amazed me with his talent for detail and thought I could accomplish the same someday. It was this inspiration during high school that I pursued instruction in painting, photography, drawing and graphic art.
My art background is not of an extended educated method but by the pure desire to create and imagine through self taught efforts.
I like to create, imagine and inspire with my art. I draw with the inspiration of those early school days.
